About Mary Genevieve Gutierrez- Batara
Mary’s first experience of Reiki was at the age of seven (1989). She was initiated on Reiki I, by Edwin Stumpf from Kauai, who was trained and initiated by Paula Horan on 1987 and Rev. Hyakuten Inamoto on 2010. The initiation was a gift of gratitude to her parents.
She grew sensitive and comfortable working with energy, healing family and friends along the way. She would often notice strong energy coming out from her hands. On August 2005, Mary was certified on Reiki I, by Pearl Gonzales-Po, a Reiki master in the Philippines.
On May 2009 she took Reiki II. It widened her knowledge and saw the need for other people that can benefit from it. She volunteered to do Reiki healing in the community, on sick children during their recuperation, and those experiencing pain in a tertiary hospital.
She continued to increase her knowledge, gain experience and soon realized her calling to be a Reiki Teacher. After 3 years of Reiki practice as a Reiki level II practitioner, On March 2012, she attained her Reiki IV, Shinpiden Degree from Edwin Stumpf or Edo-Sensei , the same person who initiated her when she was young.
She started to teach and attune students in the local area and also in the nearby provinces. By September 2012, she went to Canada for career growth. She started giving Reiki to the community, attending fairs and Reiki circle shares. She did a Reiki review and re-took all levels as a refresher course to deepen her passion on Reiki healing, maintaining its integrity by following the traditional way.
In 2013, Mary met Marianne Goetsch, an Usui Reiki Master initiated by Rev. Hyakuten Inamoto and a member of the Canadian Reiki Association. Mary reviewed all her levels under her.
Aside from Reiki healing, Mary has been working and training on various modalities of energy. She weaves the teachings in the study of Reiki may it be therapeutic, or esoteric in nature. Her training and practice includes:
Basic ESP and Intuition Development -January 2008. Developing the mind and practicing ESP skills such as telepathy, psychometry, clairvoyance (remote viewing), psychic diagnosis, sensing bio energy, Chakra balancing, cleansing and boosting the immune system.
Inner Mind Development - March 2008: Using both sides of the brain for self-healing, stress management remote viewing, meditation, brain programming, dream analysis and goal setting.
Soulmates, Karma and Reincarnation - October 2008: the concepts of reincarnation and its evidence, karma, soulmates and past life regression.
Advance ESP and Higher Awareness - October 2008: astral projection, dream analysis, remote viewing, aligning of chakras.

Mary also does professional tarot reading, spiritual house assessment and cleansing.
Mary was born on October 1982 in Quezon City, Philippines. She graduated Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2003 and Bachelor of Science of Nursing in 2006. She has masteral units in MAN, majoring in Maternal and Child nursing. She actively holds a license in both nursing and midwifery in the Philippines and a registered LPN in Alberta, Canada. She worked as a full time nurse from 2008-2012 in the field of Paediatrics.
